A married couple in crisis seeks their friend’s help to punish themselves for the disastrous state of their personal affairs.
S & M (or torture, it depends on your perspective) and financial planning collide throughout a desperate weekend as Mike and Sarah attempt to enlist the aid of their wealthy friend Paul, in a last-ditch effort to turn their lives around. Under pressure to play the dominant role in Mike and Sarah’s bondage-based fiscal rehab program, Paul confesses to failures of his own. It takes an unexpected guest to put their respective personal and financial failures in perspective and to possibly, help them chart a path forward. It’s never easy to ask for help. It’s hard to not hate yourself when you have all the privileged first world opportunities to succeed.
